How to Record Your Screen Online

Recording your screen has never been easier with DeskCap.io. Follow this simple guide to start recording in seconds.

Step 1: Open DeskCap.io

Navigate to DeskCap.io in your web browser. No downloads or installations required.

Step 2: Configure Your Settings

• Microphone: Toggle on to include voice narration
• Webcam: Enable to add picture-in-picture video
• System Audio: Capture computer sound
• Quality: Choose between 720p or 1080p

Step 3: Click "Start Recording"

Hit the big red "Start Recording" button. Your browser will prompt you to select what to share:

• Entire Screen: Record everything on your monitor
• Application Window: Capture a specific program
• Browser Tab: Record just one tab

Step 4: Record Your Content

A 3-2-1 countdown begins, then recording starts. You'll see a timer showing your recording duration (max 5 minutes).

Keyboard shortcuts:

• Space: Pause/Resume
• Esc: Stop recording

Step 5: Download Your Video

When finished, click "Stop & Save". Your recording automatically downloads as a WebM file. You can also convert to MP4 format.
